Independent shoe shop based in Wells, Somerset. There has been a shoe shop at 1-5 Broad Street since 1861. Basil Powell Shoes since 1969, our shop was first run by Basil, then by Basil’s son Robert, and is soon to be taken over by Robert’s daughter Anna.

As we approach our 60th year as a family-run independent shoe shop, we will be offering the same personal service and a range of quality, comfortable and stylish shoes from specialist European brands.
